“Touch grass” is what the internet tells you when you’ve been online too long. GitHub’s contribution graph is a lawn of little green squares. So: the more green you have, the less grass you’ve touched.
What this is
A public race of GitHub contributions. Sign in with GitHub and you’re in. Every week, every month and every year gets its own board, and whoever logged the most contributions sits on top.
Signing in only proves who you are: no permissions, no app to install, no access to your code. We read the same contribution counts anyone can see on your GitHub profile.
Why
Mostly for fun, a little for motivation. Seeing your name climb is a surprisingly good reason to ship one more thing. Being #1 is a badge of honor. It’s also a cry for help.
How it’s paid for
A few clearly labeled sponsor spots. No trackers selling your data, no ad networks.
The fine print
nograss.lol is not affiliated with GitHub. Read the rules & FAQ for how counting works.
